By the time I started riding, had an opportunity to follow group of riders coming from nashik to mumbai.
By the time I stopped for a break, the club welcomed me and advised to stick together while riding.
Never had a thought of riding a bike and that too getting invited by the legendary club and members who are veterans still treating me as a part of the pact.
For upcoming club anniversary, I got an excellent opportunity to learn and meet the members.
By witnessing the way of brotherhood, the co-ordination while riding, hand signals, and many more things…
I felt a sense of responsibility being a bike rider and found a reason to ride as a club.
Even though I have just started riding, being in a club with such members that takes care of you as if we have been riding together for quite some time, is something I have never experienced.
Noticing the way I was taking pictures (making memories to record and revisit in future), members appreciated this small hobby of mine and involved me to media activities.
The kind of involvement and support for a hobby, extending a helping hand on things that I can explore and enhance my hobby, is the first time I felt being grateful for that decision I made to go for a solo ride to nashik even others have cancelled on me.
Having the table (high commanders) greeting each members sharing advice for bike rides such as safety precautions, the difference in riding and racing, to be present and have a spirit of camaraderie… is precious and something that one should take it to heart.
At the time of cake cutting ceremony, few things that I will never forget, remembering the fellow thumpers who are not with us today, admiring the efforts and talent of individual thumpers with certificates and titles, encouraging new joiners not just by saying but showing it the things you can look forward to….
I am grateful to be in the club, and looking forward to many more miles together.
Someday, I will make myself eligible to speak out loud:
