My Bikes - Silver 500 ES

I can't remember at what age I fell in love with this bike. It was just there in me. When ever I used to see a bullet I always used to think when will I have one. Before getting my bike, I used to ride a scooter - Lamby. I used to feel so jealous that why I ain't got one. That was the time when I had just finished my graduation. So no money to buy one. And when ever I used to come across a bullet or even hear the bike thump, a strange feeling used to run thru my body and I used to just stare at the bike. Then the time came when I started earning. I had to struggle a lot before I got a job. Out of frustration I started a business .. and I was lucky enough to strke few deals where in I managed to gather a amount good enough to buy a second hand bullet.

My dad was strictly against this bike, which he thought was that this bike is a big risk. Its heavy, got brakes and gears on the opposite legs. Difficult to handle. On the other hand I was so much adament on getting a bullet, that my dad finally gave up and I got a 1986 STD 350. We say that "the answer in the data". I took my dad on a ride. He was so much impressed that even he fell in love with the bike. But he was very scared of riding one for the simple reason that he had been riding a scooter for years and couldn't adjust with the brakes on left leg. I wanted to ride, but I never got a company. Then after 2 yrs my mechanic showed me another bull. And he strongly suggested that I should go for that one. Cause the bike was in very good condition and well maintained. It was a STD 350.

I somehow managed the cash and got my TORNADO. For a whole month I had 2 bullets. The feeling was really great. In the meantime I taught my dad how to ride a bull. One fine day, I was going thru the Royal Enfield web site and saw a link to "Bombay bullet club" Thats how I came to know about the Inddiethumpers. This is what I was always looking for. The thing I regret is why I didn't come across this group earlier but again I feel happy that there are unlimited rides more to come..

Have done some very good rides with inddiethumpers like Bhimashankar, Bhandardara, Goa... the list goes on. Have also done Shirdi one day return (around 500 KM) thrice. Other then biking I like to go on Treks, camping, like adventure sports
